Terms of service
Updated October 10, 2026
I am Claire, the maker behind Glasatelier Claire. These terms apply to purchases through my webshop and to work or workshops agreed with me, together with the specific information supplied before your order. They do not remove any mandatory consumer rights.
1. Who you buy from
Glasatelier Claire

6085 AA Horn
The Netherlands

2. Choosing and ordering
The product page describes the design, size and available variants. Glass responds to light, and handmade work can show small variations. This does not excuse defects or a product that differs from what was agreed. Original product names remain the same in both languages.
Choose your variant, add it to your cart, check your details and total, then complete checkout. You can correct your choices before submitting the order with an obligation to pay. I confirm your order by email. Keep that confirmation and the terms provided with it. If you notice an error, contact me promptly.
3. Price and payment
The selected market determines the displayed currency. The checkout shows the total, delivery costs and applicable taxes collected with the order before you pay. Consumer prices for the Netherlands include applicable VAT. You can use the payment methods actually offered at checkout. I do not add optional charges without your consent.
4. Custom work and services
For a commission, I first agree the design, dimensions, colors, price, payment arrangement and timing with you. Sending an idea or asking for a quote does not itself commit you to an order. Changes that affect price or timing require agreement. For restoration, I confirm the work to be done after assessing the piece.
For workshops, the specific offer states the date, place, price, included materials and any cancellation terms before you book. Signing up for news or new dates is not a paid reservation. If I cancel a booked workshop, you can choose a refund rather than accept a replacement date.
5. Delivery and withdrawal
My shipping policy explains delivery. My returns and withdrawal policy explains the 14-day process, the return address and the limited exceptions for individual custom work and dated leisure activities.
6. Your statutory guarantee
Your purchase must meet the agreement and the reasonable expectations for the product. If it does not, contact me. Where required by law, I arrange a free repair or replacement within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If that is not possible or the law otherwise allows it, you can obtain a price reduction or end the purchase and receive a refund. These rights also apply to custom work and discounted goods. Dutch statutory conformity has no single fixed warranty period for every product.
7. Complaints
Email me with your order reference and the problem. I will discuss a suitable solution with you. You can also write or call using the contact details above. If a dispute remains, you retain access to the competent court and any available statutory dispute-resolution process. These terms do not require arbitration or restrict your right to seek help.
8. Personal data and Shopify
My shop is hosted by Shopify. Shopify also processes activity data to provide and improve services, including personalization, analytics and relevant advertising, subject to your applicable privacy choices. Read my privacy policy for purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention and your rights.
9. Applicable rules
Dutch law applies, without taking away mandatory protection under the law that applies to you as a consumer. If a clause cannot legally apply, your statutory rights prevail and the remaining valid terms continue. Changes to these terms apply to new orders, not retrospectively to an existing agreement.
