Stained Glass or Crystal Suncatchers?
I make stained glass suncatchers for their shapes, colors and the way daylight changes them. If you are looking for tiny rainbows moving across a wall, you may mean a crystal prism instead. Both are sold as suncatchers, but the name alone does not tell you what you will see.
Explore my stained glass suncatchers
Start with the effect you want
- A colored design you can look at
- My stained glass pieces combine colored glass and visible joining lines. The outline remains part of the artwork as the light changes. Choose a flower, a geometric shape or a longer composition because you enjoy the design itself.
- Rainbow patches around the room
- A faceted prism can separate sunlight into rainbow colors. The effect depends on the prism, the light and its position. I do not describe the pieces below as crystal prisms or promise that they will project rainbows.
Stained glass does not have to be a fitted window
A small stained glass suncatcher is a separate hanging artwork. You do not need to replace the pane to enjoy one of my ornaments. A suitable attachment and enough clear space still matter: a hanging piece needs support chosen for that artwork and surface. My hanging guide explains what to check.
Two examples from my collection

SPARKLE: a compact geometric outline
SPARKLE measures 10 × 6 cm (about 3.94 × 2.36 in) in small, or 14 × 10 cm (5.51 × 3.94 in) in medium. It comes with a separate 50 cm satin cord. Here, “sparkle” is the product name, not a guarantee of a projected rainbow. Compare SPARKLE sizes and colors.

BLOOM: a flower in colored glass
BLOOM comes in medium, 11 cm (about 4.33 in), and large, 14 cm (5.51 in), with a separate 50 cm glossy cord. Choose by the flower's outline and photographed palette. The name of a color does not specify the transparency of every glass section. See BLOOM options.
Check your window before choosing
- Look at the spot at the time you normally use the room. Is the light behind the artwork or mainly on its surface?
- Compare the shape against the actual background: sky, trees, curtains or a wall.
- Make a paper outline using the glass dimensions. Allow additional space for the hanging arrangement.
- If a specific light effect matters, send me the product link and a photo of the intended spot before ordering.

A few useful questions
Will stained glass still look good without direct sun?
I suggest choosing a shape and palette you enjoy in ordinary room light too. Its appearance will change with the background and available light; I cannot promise one fixed brightness or effect.
Does “crystal” mean the same thing as stained glass?
No. Check the seller's stated material and construction rather than relying on the category name. My examples here are assembled stained glass artworks, not faceted crystal drops.
Which should I choose for a Christmas gift?
Ask whether the recipient loves a particular design or specifically wants a rainbow effect. For my colored glass designs, use the Christmas gift guide. Check the exact option and ask me about a required date before ordering.
